After reading the prologue for the book, the two most important things I can tell you is, it is set far into the future as well as there being NO CHRISTMAS.

The moral of the story, is that after learning that the future of Christmas is doomed, The book goes on to tell you just how the Christmasaurus and William make a plan to save Christmas. Will they be successful or will they fail?

To find out what happens in the story, you will have to read the book for yourself.

Who Is Tom Fletcher

I thought I would give a quick biography of the author Tom Fletcher for anyone who is not too sure about who he is. Tom is a musician with the band McFly, he plays rhythm guitar as well as being one of the lead vocalists.

Front cover of bookAlong with his band member Dougie Poynter in 2012, Tom co-wrote and released his first children’s book. This book is The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas, and was the most popular book of 2012 for a debut book. The follow up to this was The Dinosaur That Pooped A Planet which was released in August 2013.

The release of Tom’s first solo novel The Christmasaurus took place 6th October 2016. Then exactly a year later, a musical edition of the book released. To date, both versions of the book have sold very well.

My Overall Opinion

Unfortunately, by the time Tom Fletcher chose to write his first book about the Christmasauras, my own 3 children were too old and none of them really had any interest in  reading the book although they all knew who he was. However, after deciding to write about this book “The Christmasauras and the Winter Witch”, I think I will need to go and purchase both of these books for myself as they both look really good. I am sure, I will enjoy reading them myself. After all, aren’t we all just big kids at heart, especially when it comes to Christmas.

I will report back and let everyone know how much I enjoyed both of these books, as well as telling you if I feel they are worth reading If you have any questions or feedback on this post, please leave them in the comment section below or you can contact me at Wealthy Affiliate and I will be more than happy to answer them for you.

    1. Hi Tracey, thanks very much for your comment and I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed reading my post that much that you have also gone and purchased The Christmasaurus. I love reading Christmas books as well as I always feel that there is a happy ending in them. I hope your grandson enjoys his book and he perhaps will want to read the follow up which could be a good present for Christmas.

  2. Hi Chez,

The beauty of books is that they are able to take one into a realm unknown especially when it comes to fiction. For instance, when I read the article, I couldn’t help but wonder how it was possible to come up with a book whose title talked about Christmas (in Christmasaurus) and the (winter) witch in the same title. Or how Christmas and poop could be spoken about in the same breath. These things are worlds apart- and spiritually they operate in places far apart- more than the heavens are far from the Earth. It, therefore, takes more than average creativity to come up with series like these of Fletcher’s.

    1. Thank you Boniface from AndroidBix for your comment.

I totally agree with you on the fact that there is nothing better than getting lost in a good book.

Yeah, you do definitely have to be able to have great creativity when it comes to writing books, especially to put these subjects together and make them funny and interesting at the same time. Both Tommy and Dougie appear to work well together in creating these stories for children of all ages.

      Thanks again for your comment.

  3. No better time to request for a Christmas book than now when Christmas is almost here. I really need to appreciate the effort that you have put into making this possible. It is the first time I am hearing about the christmasaurus but it sounds like a very lovely Children’s book that my sister will enjoy. Is the book already available in stores?

    1. Hi John, thank you for your comment and I am pleased to see that you were interested in this book and I have to tell you that both books The Christmasaurus and the new book The Christmasaurus and The Winter Witch, which is the follow up are available right now.

If you are interested in purchasing either of the two books you can click on the button on the post which will take you where you can purchase these books for your sister. If you do buy them, then please enjoy them and come back and let me know.

      Thanks
      Cheryl.

  4. Wow, I would like to think that tom is an accomplished writer judging from the way you have presented him, how his first co-written book was widely accepted and the story he has chosen. The beauty of a Children’s book is taking everything to another world where there is no limitations and anything can happen. In the Christmasaurus, he does just that. I feel i should check this book out as a fellow writer.

    1. Hi John,

Thank you very much for your comment and I would highly recommend that you check out Tom Fletcher. I saw Tom when he was playing and singing with the band McFly. They were one of the supporting bands for Busted and were just starting. They did really well and accomplished a lot.

Tom then took the decision with another band member Dougie Poynter to start writing children’s books and they have proved to be successful.

The Christmasaurus and The Winter Witch is the follow up to Tom’s first solo book The Christmasauras which was a best seller. Tom Fletcher has been classed as one of the UK’s best selling children’s author.

Once again thanks for your comment and yes, please check out this book. If you wish to purchase it you can use the button on my post. I am sure you will enjoy this book.

      Thanks

      Cheryl
